CCNA for BCA, BSc IT & MCA Students: The Edge You Need
BCA and BSc-IT teach you software; CCNA adds the infrastructure side — networks, the thing every application runs on. For computer-degree students across Gujarat, that combination opens roles most classmates can't apply for: network engineer, NOC, cloud support and SOC analyst.
Why the degree alone leaves a gap
Placement lists for IT-degree holders are crowded with the same resume: C, Java, DBMS, a web project. Interviewers see hundreds of them. A candidate who can also subnet, configure a switch and explain how DNS works end-to-end reads as employable infrastructure talent — a much shorter queue. CCNA has no prerequisites beyond basic computer familiarity, so degree students pick it up fast.
Paths this opens after graduation
- Network Engineer / NOC — the direct route (₹3–5 LPA entry, scaling with CCNP)
- Cloud — networking is the hardest part of cloud for others; your CCNA is the head start (see the cloud path)
- Cybersecurity — add CyberOps after CCNA for SOC analyst roles (₹5–10 LPA entry)
Fitting it around college
Three daily CCNA time-slot batches are planned; check whether remote study is currently available and call to confirm the timing that fits your college schedule. The site lists ₹21,000; request the full invoiced total, tax, inclusions and payment terms before enrolment.
Frequently asked questions
Is CCNA worth it for BCA/BSc IT students?
Yes — it differentiates you in a crowded software-degree market and qualifies you for network, cloud-support and security roles that pure-software classmates can't access.
Do I need programming for CCNA?
No — CCNA needs logic and practice, not coding. Your degree's basics are more than enough to start.
Can MCA students benefit too?
Definitely — MCA + CCNA/CCNP is a strong profile for infrastructure and cloud roles, and the automation topics in CCNA connect naturally to your programming background.
