CCNA Certification Cost in India (2026): the Full Number, Not the Half You Usually See
Most "CCNA cost" pages tell you a course fee and stop. But the certification itself — the exam — usually costs more than the course, and nobody leads with that. Here is every rupee, sourced and dated.
The short answer
Getting CCNA certified in India in 2026 costs most people ₹40,000–₹75,000 all-in: training at ₹15,000–₹50,000 (city and mode dependent), the Cisco 200-301 exam at USD 300 + taxes ≈ ₹26,000 paid directly to Pearson VUE, and ₹2,000–₹3,000 of optional study material. The exam fee is fixed worldwide, cannot be discounted by any institute, and must be paid again in full if you fail.
The three costs, separated
| Cost | 2026 price | Paid to | Can it vary? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Training (classroom) | ₹15,000 – ₹50,000 | Institute | Yes — city, batch size, lab quality |
| Training (live online) | ₹10,000 – ₹40,000 | Institute | Yes |
| Self-study (books + tests) | ₹3,000 – ₹8,000 | Publishers | Yes |
| Cisco 200-301 exam | USD 300 + taxes ≈ ₹26,000–27,000 | Pearson VUE / Cisco | No. Fixed worldwide. |
| Retake (if you fail) | USD 300 again | Pearson VUE | No discounted retakes exist |
Why the exam fee changes how you should choose an institute
Suppose institute A charges ₹20,000 and institute B charges ₹22,000. The ₹2,000 difference feels big — until you notice that one failed exam attempt costs ₹26,000, thirteen times that gap. The question that actually decides your total cost is not "who is cheapest?" but "where am I most likely to pass on the first attempt?" Real equipment, small batches and honest teaching are what move that probability — and those are the things the cheapest option most often lacks.
Training cost by city — what actually gets published
Fee transparency in this industry is poor. When we surveyed six institutes in Ahmedabad in July 2026, only two published a specific price; three required a phone enquiry. Metro classroom courses (Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai) commonly run ₹25,000–₹50,000; tier-2 cities like Ahmedabad, Pune and Jaipur typically ₹15,000–₹25,000. Our own fee is ₹21,000 flat — no GST, nothing added — published on our fees page because you should be able to compare before you have to phone anyone.
Costs people forget to budget
- The retake. Cisco's pass rates are not published, but nobody should sit 200-301 assuming a guaranteed first-attempt pass. Budget mentally for the possibility of a second USD 300.
- Time. 2–3 months of classes plus practice. If you study alongside a job, weekend batches exist (we run them) — the cost is calendar time, not money.
- Lab access. Some institutes charge for lab hours beyond the batch. Ask. (Ours is 24/7 and included.)
- Recertification. CCNA is valid for 3 years; renewing means continuing-education credits or re-examination. Not a 2026 cost, but it is a 2029 one.
What you get for the money — honestly
CCNA remains the most recognised entry credential in networking. Of the 284 placements we have published by name, 70% were achieved on CCNA alone, across 226 different employers. But the honest salary expectation for an Indian fresher is ₹3–4.5 lakh per year — treat any advertisement promising ₹8–10 lakh to a fresher as the red flag it is, and read our piece on "100% job guarantee" claims before believing one.
FAQ
What is the CCNA exam fee in India in 2026?
The Cisco 200-301 CCNA exam costs USD 300 plus taxes, paid directly to Pearson VUE — roughly Rs 26,000-27,000 at 2026 exchange rates. This fee is the same worldwide and no training institute can discount it. A failed attempt means paying the full USD 300 again; there is no reduced retake price.
How much does CCNA training cost in India?
Classroom training typically runs Rs 15,000-50,000 depending on the city and institute; live online courses run Rs 10,000-40,000. Self-study using official Cisco materials can be done for Rs 3,000-8,000 in books and practice tests, plus lab practice. Beware of institutes that publish no fee at all - roughly half of them require an enquiry call before revealing a price.
What is the total cost of getting CCNA certified in India?
For most people: Rs 40,000-75,000 all-in. That is training (Rs 15,000-50,000) plus the Cisco exam (about Rs 26,000) plus optional study materials (Rs 2,000-3,000). The single biggest line item is usually the exam itself, which many institutes fail to mention when advertising their course fee.
Is CCNA worth the cost in 2026?
It depends on your goal. As an entry route into networking jobs it remains the most recognised credential, and 70% of the 284 placements we have published were achieved on CCNA alone. But go in with honest expectations: an Indian fresher typically starts at Rs 3-4.5 lakh per year, not the Rs 8-10 lakh some advertisements suggest.
